The hilariously delusional final days of Joe Biden
Yesterday, the social media engagement staffer in charge of Joe Biden’s Twitter account posted a declaration from President Farina Brain announcing that the Equal Rights Amendment, which was legally dead since ratification failed by the legal deadline, was the “law of the land” and the duly ratified 28th Amendment to the US Constitution.
So much for preserving “our democracy.”
Do you think Joe Biden knows he did this? Probably not. This bit of last-minute wishcasting was the work of the same cabal of unnamed White House staffers who have controlled the presidency since January 20, 2021.
Within no time, the staffer responsible for Kamala Harris’ Twitter account posted a statement lauding Biden for unconstitutionally ratifying a long-dead proposed constitutional amendment. At the same time, the “brains” behind this push, New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand praised the president for violating the law to unilaterally ram through a proposed amendment that the states failed to ratify fifty years ago.
They know it’s laughable bullshit.
The point of this idiotic stunt isn’t to officially amend the Constitution. It’s to sow confusion and create division so that Leftists can spend the next decade or so pretending that there is a 28th Amendment that makes unrestricted abortion “the law of the land” and the courts who reject this wishcasting are “illegitimate.”
Gillibrand gave the game away in a tweet on Friday, claiming:
This is an incredible moment for reproductive freedom, and a historic day for equality – especially with Americans facing the further degradation of reproductive freedom as the incoming administration takes power.
Now, women living in states with restrictions on their reproductive freedoms can – and should – file suits to overturn these unconstitutional laws that discriminate on the basis of sex. I know they will have ample support as they seek justice, and I promise to stand by their side in this fight.
Just two days earlier, Biden used the occasion of his “farewell address” to decry the lack of fact-checking on social media. Ironically, Twitter’s “Community Notes” has been fact-checking the hell out of the claims that the ERA is “the law of the land,” including on Biden’s original tweet and the tweet from Gillibrand:
Joe Biden can no more unilaterally declare ERA the 28th Amendment to the Constitution than Mike Pence could unilaterally reject the certification to keep Donald Trump in the White House. But those who believe the latter are dubbed “insurrectionists” and a threat to democracy by those who now believe the former.
A Trump attorney who argued for Pence to overstep his role on January 6, 2021, was disbarred and faced disciplinary action. Meanwhile, Kirsten Gillibrand will remain firmly ensconced in the US Senate, where she will continue to ignore her oath of office with frightening regularity.
Gillibrand should be thrown out of the Senate in disgrace for encouraging women to use the non-existent 28th Amendment in court.
What an ignominious end to an abysmal presidency.
Joe Biden campaigned for president on the vow that he would return “decency” and “normalcy” to the country. He was forever accusing Donald Trump of ignoring the Constitution and acting like a king.
In April 2020, Biden (or a staffer) tweeted:
I am not running for office to be King of America. I respect the Constitution. I’ve read the Constitution. I’ve sworn an oath to it many times. I respect the great job so many of this country’s governors — Democratic and Republican — are doing under these horrific circumstances.
Just another in a long list of lies from the Biden campaign and presidency.
Will some nitwit far-left think tanks churn out new copies of the Constitution that include the fictional 28th Amendment? I have no doubt.
I’m also certain that some far-left legal group will happily represent the women dumb enough to take Kirsten Gillibrand up on her insane proposal. And when the cases get tossed out of court, the same idiots in Congress who have spent the last four years undermining the legitimacy of the Supreme Court will rev up their engines to attack the federal judiciary and demand “accountability” for justices who refuse to play along with Biden’s wishcasting.
This is all about sowing division and creating uncertainty because, at the end of the day, Democrats like Kirsten Gillibrand and the Marxist band of weirdos running the exiting Biden administration don’t give a shit about “our democracy,” the “rule of law,” or the Constitution. They will tear them all to the ground if doing so gives them even an ounce of power.
