Okay. I'm done defending Trump supporters against the charge that they are a cult. Why should anybody waste time and energy fighting back against the cultish label when the Trump Super Fans keep doing stuff like this?
Did anybody else look at that picture and think of this one?
That was poor planning on Brigitte's part.
Though you have to admit that the added Community Notes fact-checks certainly add a bit of an unexpected layer of fun to those tweets.
Let me ask you something.
If Brigitte Gabriel was a virulent anti-Trumper who wanted to make Trump fans look cultish, what would she be doing differently? Because creating AI-generated fictional Fantasy Trumps is all manner of cultish.
Especially now that Brigitte added this image to her growing collection:
Oh, honey. No.
Stolen valor is one thing. This is something altogether worse.
Brigitte is getting perilously close to Fauci Prayer Candle territory with this monstrosity.
Then again, I suspect if the Trump campaign's online store did offer prayer candles, Brigitte would max out her credit card ordering them.
How can anyone look at that image and not conclude that Trump Super Fans like Brigitte are cultish?
This is just another form of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Trump has broken the brains of his Super Fans the same way he broke the brains of the ResistanceLOL.
But there is some hope that not all Trump supporters have reached Super Fan Level derangement.
I read through some of the replies to that tweet, and even some of Trump's supporters were expressing their dissatisfaction with Brigitte's St. Trump. And some of those guys aren't averse to sharing the picture of Jesus guiding the hand of Trump while he is signing an executive order in the Oval Office.
If even they're saying, "Whoa, that seems a bit cultish," then maybe it's time to put away the AI software before you find yourself severing ties with family, moving to Mar-a-Lago, and accepting a glass of cyanide-laced Kool-Aid.
At the same time, that St. Trump image is a bit ambiguous.
What's Brigitte saying here, that the path back to God involves holding a cross against Trump's chest until he bursts into flames?
Is anybody else thinking of the exorcism scene from the movie "The Exorcist?"
"The power of Christ compels you!"
Now, I'm the last person to criticize someone for posting agitprop images. I do it all the time. Although, something tells me that Brigitte would not appreciate my image of Trump as Hillary or the psycho lady from "Fatal Attraction."
But what Brigitte is doing here isn't about having a little fun.
This is pure propaganda. Much like the propaganda posters of Chairman Mao or Josef Stalin, Brigitte is creating an unrealistic larger-than-life Trump that is not in any way grounded in reality.
And with that last image, Brigitte is assigning a saintlike quality to Trump that is even more laughably ridiculous than what the Democrats did with Fauci.
I found the deification of Fauci cultish. How could I not see this as equally cultish?
But the best part of this tale is that these cultish images of Trump were created by the same woman who just yesterday tweeted this:
Perhaps instead of spending her time creating Trump Cult Propaganda for her Twitter followers, Brigitte should take a trip to Target and buy herself a mirror.
