French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigette revealed on Wednesday that they had filed a defamation lawsuit against Candace Owens for making repeated false claims, including, among other things, that Brigitte Macron is a tranny.
I'm sure Candace will find a way to blame Israel, especially if the Macrons' attorney is Jewish.
Given the sheer volume of blood libel and defamatory comments that come out of Candace's spittle-flecked mouth on a near-daily basis, I'm frankly surprised it took this long for someone to push back. It is doubly surprising that the pushback came from the French. Who knew they had it in 'em?
I'll admit it. I'm rooting for the Macrons here.
Bonne chance, guys!
Candace appears to believe that she is untouchable. I don't know why. When you spend two years burping out every bigoted, slanderous, hateful thought that stomps through your head, eventually someone is going to draw a line in the sand and say, "No more."
But Candace acts as if she's bulletproof. Is it her marriage to a wealthy British aristocrat that explains this misguided sense of invincibility? Or is she just too stupid to consider how dangerous to her family's future and financial security her reckless rhetoric might be?
In response to news of the lawsuit, the modern-day Unity Mitford released a statement through a spokesman, which, I admit, had me howling when I read it.
"Candace Owens is not shutting up. This is a foreign government attacking the First Amendment rights of an American independent journalist. Candace repeatedly requested an interview with Brigitte Macron. Instead of offering a comment, Brigitte is resorting to trying to bully a reporter into submission. In France, politicians can bully journalists, but this is not France. It's America."
The cheek of this woman.
"Candace Owens is not shutting up."
Have you noticed that every bigmouth idiot who never shuts up always vows to never shut up? Leftist women use the "I will not be silenced" retort with alarming regularity, so it doesn't surprise me that it is Candace's go-to response as well.
We don't want you to shut up, Candace. That's what you don't understand. Let your own vile words condemn you.
"An American independent journalist."
Hahahahahaha! So she's a journalist now? Yeah. Sure. And I'm young, blond, and leggy. Candace isn't a journalist. She's a radio shock-jock with a dash of Julius Streicher sprinkled in for added flavor (Google him).
"Bully a reporter into submission."
The use of the verb "bully" is especially revealing.
Have you ever noticed that the biggest, loudest bullies always play the Victim when confronted with the slightest pushback?
Filing a defamation lawsuit after several demands for a retraction is not bullying someone. It is following through with the next step after your repeated retraction demands go unheeded. What's more, the Macrons are not suing a reporter; they're suing a bigoted, ignorant loudmouth who sits in front of a microphone and trades in blood libel, slander, and lies while simpering about what a good Christian she is.
The only bully here is Candace Owens. And like every other loudmouth bully, Candace has feet of clay.
Will the lawsuit be successful?
How should I know? I'm as much of a lawyer as Candace Owens is a journalist.
But in my amateur opinion, I'd say that the discovery alone could spell disaster for her.
In the meantime, like every bully, Candace will use this to paint herself as the Victim.
She'll cast herself in the role of plucky little underdog fighting for Freedom, Justice, and the First Amendment ... and puppies and stuff. And, because they're easily led, the gormless pillocks who faithfully listen to her podcast will fall for it, hook, line, and sinker.
Good luck in future endeavors, but I am signing off now.
I anxiously awaited your return to regular posts, but somehow the spell has been broken. You seem to have made some serious adjustments to your thinking in your absence and I no longer derive enjoyment, or edification in reading your column.
Glad I did not follow my instinct to upgrade to paid a year ago.
