I nearly choked on my coffee this morning when I saw the clip of Kamala Harris faking her way through an ABC News interview about the war in Gaza.
There is something painfully embarrassing about watching someone whose only military expertise consists of saluting a Marine for the cameras attempting to talk about military strategy in a time of war. ABC News may as well interview my cat.
The only military-related matter Kamala Harris had a hand in was the withdrawal from Afghanistan, which, for reasons I cannot fathom, Kamala was quick to boast about her key role in Biden making that disastrous decision.
What kind of an ignoramus would want to take credit for that disaster?
Well, the same ignoramus that popped off yesterday about Israel’s impending advance on Rafah, that’s who.
Kamala sat down for a softball interview with ABC News congressional correspondent Rachel Scott, who was no doubt chosen for sharing a pigment with the Veep.
In an attempt to make it sound like she is once again playing a key role in the administration’s discussions with Israel, Kamala claimed that “we” made it clear that Israel should not move forward with the operation in Rafah.
Kamala explained that it would be “a huge mistake” for the IDF to move into Rafah to destroy the remaining Hamas battalions there.
How does she know it would be a “huge mistake?”
Well, she “studied the maps.”
Based on her study of the maps, Kamala concluded that the million or so Palestinian civilians who fled to Rafah would have nowhere to go if Israel entered the city.
When asked if there would be any “consequences” for Israel if the IDF went into Rafah, Kamala, deploying her favorite phrase, said:
“Well, we’re going to take it a step at a time. But we’ve been very clear IN TERMS OF our perspective on whether or not that should happen.”
Rachel Scott then laughably asked Kamala if she was ruling out any consequences from the US if Israel acted in its interests and attacked Hamas in Rafah.
The boastful Kamala said, “I am ruling out nothing.”
Yes, because the Vice President doesn’t rule anything in or out. She attends funerals and gets assigned busy work to keep her out of the way. What she may or may not want to rule out is irrelevant.
Does anyone think the Israeli War Cabinet would watch that interview and quietly walk back plans to destroy the last remaining battalions of Hamas fighters?
“Whelp. We better forget it guys. Kamala studied the maps and concluded that our operation in Rafah would be a huge mistake.”
Call me cynical, but I suspect the response in Israel was a dismissive chuckle.
When Kamala says “huge mistake,” she means the Rafah operation would result in victory over Hamas, and that is not allowed.
If Kamala had been vice president in 1944, she would have urged the Allies to let the German counteroffensive succeed. She would have studied the maps and concluded that the Battle of the Bulge would have been a huge mistake because the American troops would have been fully surrounded with nowhere to go.
This has always been a problem with Democrats. For them, victory is never the goal of war. Victory is reserved exclusively for elections.
And that right there is why Kamala thinks the Rafah operation would be a “huge mistake.”
The only maps Kamala has been studying are electoral maps. She, like everyone else in this self-serving administration, is terrified of losing Michigan and possibly Minnesota if Muslim and Arab voters sit out the election in protest over Israel.
Vice President Strategery would prefer it if Israel walked away from the fight just as Hamas is teetering on the edge of extinction rather than risk losing the support of the Hamas-loving cranks in the Democrat base this November.
Why would anyone take the advice of Kamala Harris or any other Biden administration official knowing that all they care about is appeasing the far-left pro-Hamas voters in Michigan?
Why would Israel place its future in the hands of an administration that placed the security at Kabul airport into the hands of the fucking Taliban?
Kamala Harris is a vapid political opportunist who clawed her way to power the old-fashioned way, on her knees. She has never served a single day in the military and has the strategic know-how of a kumquat.
I cannot envision a world in which the Israeli War Cabinet would take her vacuous comments and faux tough-guy threats of consequences seriously.
Heaven knows nobody here in America does.
Diann? Are you okay?
1 post in the last 30 days? Hope all is well with Dianny, but I’m moving on. Thanks for all of the old days of snark!
