Profiles in Cowardice
Fear of pissing off the virulent anti-Semites is forcing Team Biden to deny reality
The Biden administration isn’t covering itself in glory lately, is it?
The White House is in such a panic over losing support among Muslim voters and far-Left Jew-haters that rather than simply stand up to the virulent bullies calling for the destruction of Israel and celebrating the massacre of Jews, these idiots are twisting themselves into pretzels to pretend Islamophobia and not antisemitism, is the single biggest threat facing the country.
I mentioned last week that press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre brazenly claimed that Muslims “have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks” in the United States.
This, of course, is a lie.
According to the FBI, before the October 7 terrorist attacks in Israel, Jews in the United States accounted for 60% of the religious-based hate crimes in the country, despite making up only 2.4% of the US population. Muslims, on the other hand, accounted for only 9% of the religious-based hate crimes.
Karine’s outlandish dismissal of antisemitic threats and her false claim about “disproportionate” Islamophobia came just days after NBC News reported that Muslim voters in Michigan are angry with Biden over his support for Israel and are threatening not to vote for him again in 2024.
Team Biden’s cowardice is also being fueled by progressive Democrats like the repulsive Pramila Jayapal, who warned on Sunday that Biden will lose Democrat voters over his support for Israel.
Do you remember when, in 2020, Joe Biden billed himself as a tough guy who could stand up to America’s enemies like Vladimir Putin?
Can you believe any voter fell for that?
This man can’t even stand up to loudmouths like Pramila Jayapal. If that pinch-faced fishwife can turn Biden into a quivering yellow-bellied coward, what kind of message does that send to our allies?
After Jean-Pierre got called out for dismissing antisemitism in favor of kvetching over Islamophobia, she “clarified” the White House’s position.
In responding to videos of her lily-livered responses to antisemitism, Jean-Pierre posted a thread on X saying:
To be clear: the President and our team are very concerned about a rise in antisemitism, especially after the horrific Hamas terrorist attack in Israel.
That’s why the President mobilized his homeland security team to address any potential threats that could harm Jewish communities…
She should have stopped there. But she couldn’t. Instead, she insisted on adding this:
…as well as Muslim, Arab American, and Palestinian American communities.
Even in her clarification, Karine could not bring herself to address antisemitic threats without also mentioning threats to Muslims – a trend that continued this week.
During Monday’s press briefing, Jean-Pierre opened with a perfunctory statement about antisemitism on college campuses, particularly the threats directed at Jewish students at Cornell, then quickly added this:
Today, we announced that the Biden-Harris administration is taking multiple actions to address this alarming rise. President Biden has been clear: We can’t stand by and stand silent in the face of hate. We must, without equivocation, denounce antisemitism. We must also, without equivocation, denounce Islamophobia. [Emphasis Dianny’s]
See what I mean?
And this:
The Department of Education is ex- — expediting the process of making it easier for students and others who experience antisemitism, Islamophobia, or other discrimination to file a complaint under Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. [Emphasis Dianny’s]
But she wasn’t the only one incapable of mentioning threats against Jews without also bringing up Islamophobia.
In the same press briefing, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters:
Karine talked about what’s going on on college campuses. But the same goes for Islamophobia. There’s no place for that in the country. It must be condemned equally as strong. And — and we all need to work with might and main to stop that kind of hate as well.
These guys are incapable of uttering the word antisemitism without also mentioning Islamophobia. It beggars belief.
Sixty percent versus nine percent, which is the real problem here?
I searched for the word “Islamophobia” in the transcript from Monday’s press briefing and every time the antisemitic attacks were mentioned, Karine Jean-Pierre had to include something about Islamophobia.
Every single time.
It’s like some bizarre form of Tourette syndrome, motivated entirely by abject fear of offending Jew-hating Democrat voters.
Years ago, I described this kind of fear as Offendophobia.
The entire Biden administration suffers from Offendophobia.
So terrified of losing support from a loud minority, these guys are bending over backward to pretend that the country is filled to the rafters with foaming-at-the-mouth Islamophobes as they relegate antisemitism to “and other forms of hate.”
On Wednesday, amid the skyrocketing threat to Jewish Americans, Karine proudly announced that the president had established the “First-Ever National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia.”
In her statement, Jean-Pierre cited the only instance of Islamophobia that has happened since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, namely the murder of a 6-year-old Palestinian boy in Chicago.
How many Jewish Americans have been harassed, threatened, and attacked since October 7? Why isn’t the president establishing a “First-Ever National Strategy” to Counter Antisemitism?
Because these guys are cowards, that’s why.
Vice President Kamala Harris even posted a video on X proudly announcing this “First-Ever National Strategy to Combat Islamophobia.”
No, I haven’t watched her video. It’s over three-and-a-half minutes long. I can’t endure three-and-a-half seconds of that vapid moron. You’d have to pin me to a chair and force my eyes open ala “A Clockwork Orange” to get me to suffer through that. But I did read her message that accompanied it:
Taking on hate is a national priority. Today, @POTUS and I are announcing the country's first National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia. This action is the latest step forward in our work to combat a surge of hate in America.
I see. So, to “combat a surge of hate” currently led by Jew-hating monsters, Kamala is boasting about a “National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia.” Such a profile in courage, isn’t she?
I also read through some of the 14,000 replies, and let me put it this way: Kamala’s video is getting the treatment it so richly deserves.
Unsurprisingly, many of those replying are posting comedian Norm Macdonald’s 2016 tweet:
What terrifies me is if ISIS were to detonate a nuclear device and kill 50 million Americans. Imagine the backlash against peaceful Muslims
This isn’t tone-deafness.
These idiots definitely listening, just not to their conscience. Instead, they’re listening to the Jew-hating cranks in their party who are threatening to abandon Biden in 2024 for supporting Israel.
Team Biden is such a profile in cowardice that it is willing to deny reality and dismiss the genuine threats directed at Jewish Americans to keep a bunch of Jew-hating bastards on board in 2024.
As I said in my column “Craven Election Pandering:”
As vile as it is, this is no different from when Joe Biden played “Despacito” on his iPhone during a Hispanic Heritage Month event in Florida to pander to Hispanic voters in the last election. In both cases, it is all about the votes.
The White House is desperate to keep the support of virulent anti-Semites out of fear that without them, Biden will lose in November.
That’s what this is all about.
It’s gross, twisted, and unbelievably cowardly.
