Is Team Trump transitioning into the Squad?
Between the embrace of victimhood and cries of racism, it's hard to tell them apart
As a general rule, I avoid listening to people like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Donald Trump Junior with the same strategic diligence I employ when avoiding dog shit on the sidewalk.
Unfortunately, I was forced to step right into it today for my paying job, and now my whole house stinks of shit.
The things we do to earn a living.
And as I sat here enduring post-debate video gems from Junior and Greene, I marveled at how much Team Trump is starting to sound like the whining, victim-card-flashing loons from the Squad.
Farewell, AOC. Say hello to MTG.
I mentioned on Friday that while I didn't watch the Republican debate since it aired after my bedtime, I did watch quite a few video clips from it, including the one where Chris Christie scalded the perpetually smarmy Vivek Ramaswamy, or as I called him earlier this month, "CandidateGPT."
Vivek opened the debate by lifting a quote from Barack Obama, describing himself as a "skinny guy with a funny last name." Later in the debate, Christie body-slammed Vivek, comparing him to ChatGPT and calling him out for stealing from Obama. Christie concluded by suggesting that Vivek is "the same type of amateur" as Obama.
While the audience at the debate loved Christie's one-two punch, Trump surrogate Marjorie Taylor Greene feigned indignation.
In an interview with Right Side Broadcasting after the debate, MTG went the AOC route, accusing Christie of racism for daring to compare Ramaswamy to Obama.
Set aside the fact that Marjorie last year appeared on stage with wannabee neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes at an event the little racist dweeb hosted. Why in Lucifer's reach would a "conservative" say something like this:
"I was pretty disgusted at Chris Christie and his racist comment toward Vivek Ramaswamy."
If you saw that quote without knowing it was Marjorie Taylor Greene, would you assume it was from someone like Ilhan Omar or Cory Bush? I would.
How is it racist to point out that VivekGPT stole his opening line from Barack Obama? Can someone who speaks MAGAese explain this to me?
"He compared him to Obama," the simpering MTG continued. "I thought that was pretty racist."
Ah, okay. So it's racist to compare Vivek to Obama.
Does Marjorie not realize that Vivek made that comparison the moment he stole Obama's words? All Chris Christie did was point it out.
Good grief. There is no daylight between Marjorie Taylor Greene and the dizzy, dimwitted fools from the Squad.
Then there's that big girl's blouse, Donald Trump Junior.
Don Jr. and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle staged a scene for the benefit of the media last Wednesday night when they attempted to crash the post-debate spin room, knowing full well they would not be allowed in.
Little Don accused Fox of trying to "censor and silence Trump supporters," while his girlfriend claimed that Fox was "un-American" for violating her First Amendment rights.
Suffering through the video of Don's kvetching made me think of the photoshoot AOC staged at the southern border.
I know this is like explaining quantum physics to a toddler, but nobody is trying to "censor" or "silence" you, Don, so take the skirt off, you big girl.
The post-debate spin room is where participating candidates and their surrogates meet with reporters to answer questions and offer their take on the debate. There was no reason for Trump surrogates to be in the post-debate spin room since their guy wasn't a debate participant.
If Don Jr. wants to preen for the cameras in the post-debate spin room, he should tell his father to stop being a simpering coward and show up at the next debate.
But, see, Don and Marjorie weren't genuinely upset. That's what you have to understand.
All their bitching, whining, and "well-I-nevering" was performative nonsense, nothing more.
Marjorie's alleged "disgust" over Chris Christie's so-called “racist” comment, Don Junior’s mewling about being "silenced" – all of it is as fake as AOC's staged photoshoot at the border.
Just like the members of the Squad, all these guys care about is getting attention from the press so they can boost their social media engagement.
This is why I avoid these guys like shit on a sidewalk.
These are not serious people. They're a circus act, performing the same tired routine, month after month, year after year, to an ever-dwindling audience.
They don't give a toss about stopping America's decline or wresting power from the institutional Left. They're too busy adopting the Left's love of performative dramatics and embrace of the Victim Card.
So screw 'em.
Let them scream and whine into the void. Heaven knows they have nothing else to offer.
Yet again, good take. And am I the only one that appreciates your political analyses whether or not I agree with them (for the most part) or not but they alway make me think. I miss your satire photos.
As the song said, " Is there anyone out there?
