Whelp, it turns out that Joe Biden’s latest foreign policy blunder didn’t just hand a lifeline to Hamas. It tossed Trump a lifeline as well.
I went to bed last night decidedly undecided about what to do in November. I’d sooner slide naked down a railing covered in razor blades than vote for Joe Biden. At the same time, I do not like Donald Trump and wish, like Cher, that I could turn back time and convince the insufferable blowhard to stand aside and endorse Ron DeSantis as his undoubted heir.
Then I woke up to discover that Hamas Joe had blown up decades of US foreign policy by stabbing Israel in the back while providing aid and comfort to a designated terrorist group, and by golly, paint me red and tattoo Make America Great Again on my forehead.
Great work, Joe!
It was reported this week that the Pentagon paused a shipment of “high payload munitions” to Israel over the administration’s opposition to Israel’s operation in Rafah.
The Pentagon clarified that it doesn’t mind sending defensive weapons to Israel so it can continue to stop Hamas’ endless rocket attacks. It just won’t help Israel put an end to the miserable fuckers once and for all by supplying offensive weapons.
Then last night, in an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett, the bumbling old fart confirmed that he told Israeli officials that the United States was cutting them off at the knees because heaven forbid Israel finally rid the region of the barbarians that slaughtered 1,200 of its citizens, took over 200 people hostage, including Americans, and have used the Palestinian people as human shields for years.
But wait! It gets worse!
Now, news that the shipment was paused first oozed out days before the Pentagon confirmed it.
Now, here’s the kicker. According to a report in the Associated Press last night, the White House had hoped to keep that news from going public until after Grandpa Joe delivered his speech against antisemitism at the Holocaust Museum in Washington on Tuesday.
Ah, yes. We can’t allow Joe’s empty platitudes about the perils of Jew-hatred on college campuses to get upstaged by the news of his Jew-hating administration’s decision to undermine Israel’s efforts to destroy the Jew-hating terrorist assholes on whose behalf the antisemitic lunatic fringe has been harassing and attacking Jews on college campuses.
It beggars belief.
I sat here staring at the screen of my laptop at three in the bloody morning, reading the news and boiling with rage.
Then I went onto Twitter and saw this tweet from long-time NeverTrumper Jonah Goldberg:
Fwiw. I’ve heard from a LOT of reliably anti-Trump people - I mean really, really, anti-Trump people - who have had it with Biden tonight. Anecdotal, to be sure. But very telling in my circle.
I’m not surprised.
There are probably a lot of people like me who believe that Donald Trump is the worst possible Republican nominee in 2024 who will now happily bite the bullet and cast their vote for the guy just to ensure that the manifestly unfit Joe Biden and the Marxist band of dangerous weirdos running his administration are driven out of the White House on January 20, 2025.
The funniest thing about this is that after Nikki Haley dropped out of the primary, Team Biden sincerely believed that old Joe had a shot at winning over her voters. After what his administration just did, I think it’s safe to say those Haley voters wouldn’t touch Biden with a barge pole.
Team Biden’s appeasement of college-age Marxists and the population of Dearborn has caused more damage to American foreign policy and our standing in the world than anything Donald Trump could ever dream of doing.
I don’t like Trump. I still wish our Republican nominee was Ron DeSantis. But between the ever-worsening foreign policy fuck-ups and this administration’s anti-American policies, most notably the ongoing invasion at our southern border, there is no way I would ever forgive myself if I didn’t vote against Joe Biden in November.
So congrats, Grandpa!
You just accomplished what every RNC text message and email failed to achieve.
I keep checking in from time to time Dianny, but I’m about to give up entirely.
Thank you. I actually wept tears of rage over this cynical betrayal. I hope everyone feels the way you do right now—and that they won’t forget come November.
