Yesterday, Donald Trump held a 90-minute press conference at Mar-a-Lago where he fielded questions from reporters and announced that he had agreed to participate in three debates against Kamala Harris.
Trump confirmed that he will attend the September 10 debate on ABC News and the Fox News debate on September 4. Additionally, the former president announced that he accepted a third invitation from NBC News to debate Kamala on September 25.
You’d think Vice President “If you have something to say, say it to my face” would jump at the chance to face off with Trump three times.
Hahahahahahaha!!
Who am I kidding?
When asked Thursday evening if she would accept the three debate invitations, the cowardly Kamala only committed to the ABC News debate. She suggested she might be open to other debates after the one on September 10.
Hahahahahaha!
So that’s a no on the Fox News debate, you spineless clown?
You can understand why Kamala wouldn’t want to do a debate before the one on ABC News. This woman needs as much time as possible to rehearse every line she utters. Agreeing to debate Trump on September 4 would be like opening a Broadway play a week before the final dress rehearsal.
On top of that, Cowardly Kamala won’t risk stepping into the Fox News lion’s den.
Has Kamala ever appeared on Fox News since becoming vice president? I couldn’t find anything, and believe me, I looked.
It’s almost as if the tough-talking “I’m speaking now” blowhard is too afraid to field questions from a network that won’t limit an interview or debate to softball questions.
Kamala was asked when she planned to hold a formal press conference or interview.
This was her response:
“I’ve talked to my team and I want us to get an interview scheduled for the end of the month.”
The end of the month?
It’s August 9. She has been running for president for 18 days and doesn’t plan to give an interview until the end of the freaking month?!
To recap. There will be no debate until September 10 and no interview until the end of August. Team Kamala is going to great lengths to avoid a burst of word salad, aren’t they?
Kamala is avoiding an interview for the same reason she’s refusing to debate Trump until September 10.
Most presidential candidates only undergo rigorous debate prep. But not our Kamala. Nope. Kamala Harris cannot field questions in a formal interview without spending hours in rigorous interview prep with her “team.”
The team needs time to compile an exhaustive list of every possible question and then compose all of Kamala’s responses. Once that’s done, Kamala needs enough time to commit all the questions and answers to memory. Nothing is left to chance.
Ironically, Vox reporter Ian Millhiser admitted as much on Thursday, saying in a tweet:
Kamala Harris obviously needs to do press interviews between now and the election. But the idea that she's under some obligation to prioritize such an interview -- and the many, many hours of prep that goes into it -- with everything else that's on her plate right now is silly.
Saying that your favored candidate can’t answer an interviewer’s questions without “many, many hours of prep” is the textbook definition of “saying the quiet part out loud.”
Donald Trump walked in front of a group of reporters and spoke for nearly two hours Thursday but heaven forbid Kamala do a 15-minute sit-down on network or cable news without hours of preparation as if she’s studying to take the bar exam.
The only thing Kamala has “on her plate” is running for president and answering questions about her record and agenda is a key component of that.
When Kamala finally does sit down for a one-on-one interview, it will be with the most sycophantic reporter or TV host her “team” can find — Jen Psaki or “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker would be my guess.
You can be sure it won’t be a Fox News anchor like Martha MacCallum or Bret Baier. As I said the other day, Team Kamala keeps their girl locked down in a bubble. They won’t let her venture out except for softball interviews under tightly controlled circumstances.
The reason is obvious.
Kamala Harris isn’t running for president and commander-in-chief. She’s running to be the mascot of a new Democrat administration. A mascot is to be seen, not heard.
The last thing the Democrats want is for their mascot to shake the leash and tank their chances.
They should be good at getting her prepped - they had lots of practice on Biden!! Love the mascot analogy! She won't be as compliant as Biden (too big an ego!) Ha...ha...
